Plain terms for a beta product built by one person. Using Momentum means accepting these.
This is beta software
Momentum is unfinished and provided as it is, without warranty. It may lose data, be unavailable, change without notice, or have features removed. Do not use it as the only copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. That is not boilerplate — it is the actual state of the product, and it is why the app keeps telling you to add a password.
Your content is yours
Everything you capture belongs to you. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to it beyond what is technically required to run the service for you: storing it, showing it back to you, and sending what is needed to the providers listed in the privacy policy so the app can answer you. It is not used to train anyone's model by us, and it is not sold.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. A guest brain has no password, and therefore no recovery — if you lose the device or clear its storage, that vault is gone and we cannot restore it.
Fair use
There is a daily message allowance, which exists so that one runaway loop cannot run up somebody else's bill. Do not attempt to work around it, resell access, use Momentum to break the law, or use it to store material you have no right to hold. Accounts doing any of that can be suspended.
Paid plans
Momentum has a free tier that stays free. Paid plans are billed through Stripe, renew until cancelled, and can be cancelled at any time from inside the app — cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves you on the free allowance. Beta access codes grant a paid plan for a limited period and are not transferable or refundable.
Ending it
You can stop using Momentum and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, and we may discontinue the service — with as much warning as circumstances allow, and with a way to get your data out.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Momentum is not liable for losses arising from using it, including lost data or a missed task. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Changes
These terms will change as the product does. Material changes will be announced in the app.
